Emmarie Whitaker made a goal before the start of her 9th grade school year to never wear the same hairstyle twice. She spent hours researching, practicing, and developing her own hair creations. Little did she know at the time, but the girls in her Seminary class were secretly taking photos of Emmarie in hopes of being able to recreate her look.
Emmarie’s hair obsession was a source of healing and pride for her. She had struggled with serious neurological issues that caused her to lose her memory and much that she had learned in school over and over again. It took an incredible amount of courage, but Emmarie found the strength to share her learning challenges on YouTube.
Emmarie found her voice and her mission when she realized the profound effect her story had on thousands who have also struggled with undiagnosed health challenges or serious learning disabilities. She started a YouTube channel, Emmarie Lane, about inner and outer beauty – her mantra is “You Are Enough!”
At age 23, with only a modest following on YouTube, Emmarie was “discovered” by a talent-recruiter for a new social media app called Rumbl. Rumbl contacted Emmarie asking if she would be interested in creating quality 60-second videos for their platform. Emmarie Whitaker, now with millions of views, climbed quickly to become one of the top Rumblrs and top Rumbl earners.
