Purple
A native of New Hampshire, perpetual learner, polyglot (speak Swedish, German, Dutch, & beginner level Czech). Attended BYU & University of Chicago, completed remote work certification & remote work leadership certificate from USU in Spring 2020. The USU course gave a great foundation of new ways to view working remotely, to lead and be led with a clearer framework. First brush with remote work came in 2015 running sales in Europe for Blendtec, a manufacturer of commercial blenders for the restaurant industry. I’ve managed sales teams in housewares, medical devices, and now in the comfort business with Purple mattresses. Remote work can be a soul-swallowing siege without the right framework—inefficient and ineffective. With the right framework it can be both effective and efficient.
