Social impact investment is a growing trend worldwide, providing capital businesses and entrepreneurs to address social and/or environmental issues. The Silicon Slopes SLC Social Impact panel will convene Utah-based experts in the field to discuss the state of investment and trends moving forward in the state. Moderated by Chance Murray, Principal of the University of Utah’s Venture Fund II, the panel will include Davis Smith, CEO of Cotopaxi, Lindsey Kneuven, Chief Impact Officer for Pluralsight, Ian Shelledy, Director of Community Foundation and Sustainable Startups, Sara Day of Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund and formerly of Even Stevens, and Brad Dickson Managing Director of B-Rad Industries.
Brad Dickson is an active social impact and angel investor with a mission to enable catalytic capital and build ecosystems that de-risk social entrepreneurship and technology based start-ups in the State of Utah. Brad is currently board chair for the Community Foundation of Utah. He is founding board chair of PandoLabs, Inc and a member of the executive committee of Park City Angels. Brad is managing director of B-Rad Industries, BLLC, a Utah benefit company. Brad previously was a global C-Level executive with Dresser-Rand Company where he served as executive officer on their worldwide new equipment business and chief marketing officer.
