We'll be joined on December 16th by Prelude Managing Director Davis Warnock. 

As Managing Director of Prelude Venture Fund, Mercato’s early-stage practice, Davis Warnock brings significant private equity and operational experience. Davis co-founded Lumen Group, which was the first direct secondary fund in the state of Utah.

Prior to Lumen Group and Prelude, Davis co-founded Auxano Funding, a revenue-based finance debt fund. Shortly after founding Auxano, Davis also co-founded UA2, one of Utah’s prominent angel investment groups.

Over his career, Davis has been the principal in more than 50 private equity transactions and launched several businesses spanning Technology, Consumer, Biotech, and Marketing. As part of his business endeavors, Davis also serves as Chairman of the Board at SilencerCo the market leader in the small arms suppressor sector, and as a board member of the Utah Venture Entrepreneur Forum.

Davis received a B.S. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Utah and an M.B.A. from Westminster’s Gore School of Business. He prides himself on collaborating with entrepreneurs and other fund managers in town to better the investment community and build the ecosystem for the future. Davis also enjoys time with his wife and four kids, as well as breakfast rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
